In 1979, Jim Scholl received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Zoology from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and also received a Commission as an Ensign in the U.S. Navy.  Ultimately the Navy sent him to Key West.  Captain Scholl's final tour of duty was as Commanding Officer of Naval Air Station Key West from 2003 to 2006. In 1992 Captain Scholl earned a Masters degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island.   Following retirement from active duty, Jim Scholl was immediately hired as the senior government director of the Naval Air Station Key West Tactical Aircrew Combat Training System range office.  Following a year of federal government service, he was selected from a group of over 130 applicants to serve as the City of Key West City Manager, the Chief Executive Officer of the City’s municipal government functions. 
 In his spare time, he serves as a member of the Sunrise Rotary Club of Key West and sits on the board.  He also is a member of Key West Military Affairs Committee and serves as a board member. He also actively uses his pilot's license.

Stephanie Griffiths - Vice President- Stephanie.Griffiths@sigsbee.org

Stephanie Griffiths earned a Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in Accounting, from Eastern Michigan University.  She has worked in an accounting and / or management capacity in banking, insurance, government, and law, and managed all of the bookkeeping and accounting responsibilities for several privately held corporations since 1999.  Stephanie has been a substitute teacher at all levels, and she is a mentor in the Take Stock in Children program.  She loves to read and is in 3 book clubs. 
Stephanie's leisure time is spent boating, fishing, and traveling.   And she loves numbers!

Michelle Maxwell - Personnel/Legal Advisor- Michelle.Maxwell@sigsbee.org

Michelle Maxwell is an Investigator in the Internal Affairs Office of the Monroe County Sheriff's Office and serves as Assistant Legal Counsel. Ms. Maxwell received her J.D. from West Virginia University, her Master's Degree in International Relations from Georgetown University, her Bachelor's Degree in English Literature/Political Science from Shepherd University and graduated from the School of Public Safety at Florida Keys Community College as a certified law enforcement officer. Ms. Maxwell also serves on the board of Womankind and is a mentor for the Take Stock in Children program. 
Ms. Maxwell is married to Greg Sullivan and has two overweight, spoiled cats

Mrs. Jannes has served in the field of education for twenty-five years. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Mount Holyoke College in Massachussetts with majors in Psychology and Education and Philosophy. Mrs. Jannes earned a Master’s of Arts degree from Columbia University’s Teachers’ College and completed her doctoral coursework at Columbia after earning a full merit scholarship. She majored in Educational Leadership and Curriculum. Mrs. Jannes is a certified school administrator and elementary school teacher with a concentration in gifted education.

During her seven years at Sigsbee Charter School, enrollment at SCS has doubled, the school has been awarded several grants and the school has received an A rating by the State Department of Education every year and has been nationally recognized as a charter school of excellence.

Mrs. Jannes is the proud parent of two Sigsbee students, Taylor and Dylan. Her husband is a retired Coast Guard Officer.  She enjoys reading, boating, watching her kids compete in sports, and anything having to do with the ocean.
